Students often lose interest during lecture-style teaching, interactive teaching styles promote an atmosphere of attention and participation.
ARF Food Safety Consulting Group offers the following guidelines to express the focus of interactive educational teaching styles. The focus is to:
- Encourage student participation.
- Use questions that stimulate response, discussion and a hands-on experience.
- Use teaching aids that press for answers, and capture and hold the student’s attention.
- Set up a work group environment.

Sanitation Certification Class Information
All Classes are held at various office locations throughout the Chicago land area. We offer private group classes.
$200.00 + $52.00 City of Chicago Certificate if required.
(ServSafe textbook included)
Cash Payments Are NOT Accepted. Cancellations must be received 5 days prior to the class date to receive a 50% refund or full credit toward a future seminar. Credits are honored up to 6 months from date of payment.
ENGLISH 1 – DAY Class Format
Weekdays 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, check – in 8:45 am
Saturdays 9:30 am – 6:30 pm, check – in 9:15 am.
ENGLISH 2 – DAY VIRTUAL Class Format: 2 Five hour Days

Servsafe Food Handler:
Beginning July 1, 2014, if you work in a restaurant in Illinois and prepare, store or serve food, handle food equipment, food utensils, or food-contact surfaces you must have a food handler certificate within 30 days of hire. This includes most restaurant jobs, including servers, chefs, head chefs, head cooks, cooks, bussers, bartenders, dishwashers, hosts and hostesses who handle food and supervisors, such as the general manager or managers. Managers who already have a Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification do not need a food handler certificate.
PLEASE NOTE: All restaurant Food Handler training must be accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and certificates must be renewed every three years.
